Developing an Equality Action Plan
Developing an Equality Action Plan training has been purposefully designed for management and staff with responsibility for action planning and policy development. Because training is usually based on the findings of an Equality and Human Rights review, it is completely bespoke to your organisation. If you haven’t done your review yet, don’t panic, we can help with this too!
When our experts deliver this training it is based on the nine grounds of equality as outlined in theĀ Equal Status Acts (2000 – 2018). The nine grounds are gender, marital status, family status, age, disability, sexual orientation, race, religion and membership of the traveller community.
ThisĀ is an interactive training course that aims to work with participants examine existing policies with regard equality. We can then update or amend existing policies in line with your goals. On completion of this course participants should have a robust equality action plan specific to their organisation and the skills to implement it.
Training ensures participants will:
- Understand the benefit of developing and implementing an equality action plan.
- Examine existing policies in terms of Equality.
- Develop an action plan, for now and into the future. Set out realistically achievable goals and timeframes.
- Explore methods of implementing the action plan and identify any barriers to implementation.
